The completion of the new School of Management at Queen’s University opposite Riddel Hall includes the installation of a 280 kW Ground Source Heat Pump system to provide heating and domestic hot water.  40 No. sealed, closed loop geothermal probes were installed in lawn opposite Riddel Hall to provide the source of energy to the ground source system.  The works  undertaken by GeoServ included the thermal and mechanical testing of the geothermal probes, the installation of the geothermal collector pipe work connecting the probes to a central manifold chamber and connection to the underground plant room. The geothermal collector will provide a source of energy to the heat pumps and offers a low-visual impact solution for delivering energy to the new building  The work is being completed for main contractor Felix O’Hare & HTC Mechanical.  The Viessmann heat pumps are supplied by Precision Heating
